FAQs

How do appointments get made?

Firstly, we need to seek approval from the insurer (if there is a claim) or yourself (if you are paying) to proceed. Please note we cannot proceed with making appointments if approval is not provided. For funding approval, you will need to contact your insurer or referring doctor to follow-up. Eight appointments will then be made which covers all potential sessions you may require. These will be communicated to you in an email. If you cannot make any of these times, please respond by email and we will attempt to accommodate your needs.

Where are face-to-face appointments held?

All in-person sessions take place at 156 Goodwood Road, Goodwood

There is ample parking available in nearby side streets.
Please plan to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

How do I attend a telehealth appointment?

Two days before your appointment, you will receive a text message and an email with a secure link. Please confirm attendance when you receive the reminder.

At your scheduled time, simply click the link to join your online session.

If you have trouble connecting, please wait for your psychologist to call you — they will ring if you are late, and help you get online.

What should I do with the consent form?

Your consent form includes important information about your treatment with ACRS.

Please complete it in one of the following ways:

  • Print, sign, and date the form, then

    • Email a scanned copy to admin@adelaidecrs.com.au, or

    • Take a photo and text it to 0429 345 616, or

    • Bring the signed form with you to your first appointment.

  • If you cannot print the form, simply read it carefully and reply to the email with:

“I have read and understood the attached consent form. I agree to the conditions for the psychological service provided by Adelaide Concussion Recovery Service.”

What is your cancellation policy?

A $180 cancellation fee applies if you:

  • Do not attend your appointment, or

  • Cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled time.

Please note:

  • Insurance companies do not cover cancellation fees.

  • The fee is the client’s responsibility.

  • Payment is required before additional appointments can be scheduled.

Who should I contact if I have an issue or need help?

If you have any issues with your appointment, or paperwork, please contact our administration team:

If your call is not answered immediately, please leave a message, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please note that this phone is not always attended, but it will be regularly monitored. If it is about an issue with your appointment during the appointment time, the psychologist will call you within five minutes if you have not arrived or logged on at the arranged time.
